The Saints Cross Country Team started their season with a 4th place finish at the Moeller Primetime Invitational on Friday August 23.
Gabby Hirlinger, Brooke Schleben, Olivia Hess, Kaylie Brown, and Maria Visconti were the scoring varsity runners. Abby Pace and Jessica Hayhow were Seton’s 6th and 7thrunners.
The saints who ran in the Open race finished in third place. Newcomers Kaitlyn Fields and Lauren Heideman ran their first 5K in the 23′s. Allie Holmes and Isabella Timon finished in the top 20 to earn an award in their first race as well. Junior Emily Hatting finished as Seton’s 5th runner and Brooke Zentmeyer and Mia Bianco took the 6th and 7th spots.
Freshman Janie Reiter led the two mile Rookie Race and earned a 2nd place finish. Freshman Lydia Brigham also received an award in the Rookie Race with her 7thplace finish.
The Saints’ next meet is next Saturday in Elyria, OH. This is their traditional Avon Lake overnight trip. Good luck Saints.
