Soccer Battles in Camo
By Molly Kraisinger
It was a big rivalry night for the JV and varsity soccer teams. They took on the Mercy Bobcats at the PAC on Wednesday September 11. In honor of 9/11 both Seton and Mercy cheering sections showed their support by decking out in American and camouflage attire. JV played first with freshmen Kelly Byrne and Alexa Jacob each scoring a goal. JV won 2-1. Up next was the Seton Varsity team. Mercy scored in the first 10 minutes with a lead of 1-0 at half time. In the first 10 minutes of the second half, senior Jess Frey scored. For the last few minutes of the game it was a craze on the field both teams working to score another goal to take the lead. Neither teams scored again, the game ended in a tie 1-1. The team plays next on against McNicholas on Monday, September 16.
