After being away for a long time, it is the best feeling in the world when you are finally able to walk through the door and say that you are home. Throughout the days of September 14- 23, Seton’s alumnae got to do just that while participating in the second annual Homecoming Week.

During Homecoming Week, alumnae get to reminisce and relive their glory days here at Seton high school through different events and activities set up by Seton’s Alumnae Association. The celebration started on Saturday, September 14, with a Reunion night. Alumnae toured the school to see all the new updates it has made over the years and visited their favorite former faculty members. Alumnae whose graduating year ended in a three or eight were invited to the commons for drinks and appetizers before the official party at the end of the night in the old gym.

The fun-filled week continued Monday with a SWAP Happy Hour at Next Chapter in Mt. Adams. 21 years-old and older alumnae learned more about Seton Women as Professionals, or SWAP, while enjoying drink specials and give-a-way prizes. Tuesday was dedicated towards the opportunity to give back to Seton by cleaning up choral hall, otherwise known as the Choral Hall Service Project. On Wednesday, the ladies were to collect as many Seton graduates from their families as possible to have their picture taken for free during Legacy Picture Day, and Thursday was dubbed as an Evening of Appreciation to Annual Fund 2012-2013 donors in order to thank them for their generous support of Seton High School.

On Friday, September 20, the alumnae were given the chance to join current students in the Seton Helping Saints walk by monitoring the water stations throughout the course, or by simply sponsoring a fellow saint in order to help them reach their quota.

This Saturday, September 21, alumnae get a walk of their own. The event is a 5k, and includes a band, games, and a free LaRosa’s lunch. All are welcome to attend. The cost is $25 for an adult admission and $7 per child (12 and under). Registration is also required.

Lastly, the festivities will wrap up Monday, September 23, with a Green Game. Alumnae are encouraged to attend the Seton varsity soccer match at the Panther Athletic Complex at six o’clock to help cheer on the girls and enjoy free snow cones along with a variety of give-a-ways.

Homecoming Week is a new, exciting occasion for Seton graduates to come together once again and celebrate the past, present, and future with their Seton family. Welcome home, saints!
