Quick and Healthy Food

Eating is something that everyone loves to do, but some of the better tasting foods are the most unhealthy, which just doesn’t seem fair. Have no fear, because some of the best foods can be made healthier. Who doesn’t love the sound of that? Here are some quick and easy recipes for lasagna, pizza, and buffalo chicken dip.
For an easy healthy meal, Last-Minute Lasagna, from myrecipies.com, can be put together for any occasion. All that is needed to make this dish is a 24- ounce jar of pasta sauce, two 18-20 ounce refrigerated large cheese ravioli, one 10- ounce box frozen chopped spinach, thawed and excess water squeezed dry, one 8- ounce bag of shredded mozzarella, and a half cup of grated parmesan. This is enough for six servings. Directions include first pre-heating the over for 350 degrees. Start by lining the bottom of a 9-by-13 inch pan with pasta sauce then add a layer of ravioli, half of the spinach, half of the mozzarella, and repeat those ingredients again on top. Finish off with the remaining sauce and sprinkled parmesan cheese. Now the only thing left to do is cover in foil, bake for thirty minutes, and enjoy!
For a smaller portioned snack or appetizer, a healthy Margherita pizza, from myrecipies.com, might hit the spot! Instead of a greasy pizza loaded with bacon or pepperoni, this pizza is made with healthier ingredients. These ingredients include once 10- ounce can of refrigerated pizza crust dough, one teaspoon of olive oil, once halved garlic clove, five small plum tomatoes, once cup of mozzarella cheese, once teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, half cup of thinly sliced basil, pinch of salt and black pepper. To make the pizza, start out by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. Put the pizza together by rolling out the dough and placing it on a baking sheet that has been sprayed by cooking oil. Put the crust into the oven for eight minutes, then take it out and brush on olive oil and rub the edges of the crust with garlic. Place some of the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella on top and place in oven until the cheese has melted. In addition add the finishing touches by mixing the oil and vinegar together and drizzling that over top, add basil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
The last recipe is the famous buffalo chicken dip, but made healthier on skinnytaste.com. Since football season is just getting started, knowing how to make buffalo chicken dip is definitely a plus. The ingredients needed are 4 ounces of softened reduced fat cream cheese, once cup of fat free sour cream, half cup of hot sauce, half cup of crumbled blue cheese, and two cups of cooked shredded chicken. This recipe makes enough for nine servings. To whip it all together, preheat the oven to 350 degrees, mix the first five ingredients together until smooth and then mix in the chicken. Once all of the ingredients are mixed together, put it into a pan and stick it in the oven for 20 minutes, or until thoroughly heated. When the dip is done let it cool and dig in with some celery, crackers, or chips!
