Students encounter Jesus at Credo
By Jessica Wuebbolt
Over the past weekend, students from all across Cincinnati gathered together for Credo, a two-day Eucharistic-centered retreat at Moeller High School. Credo is a high energy weekend filled with music, speakers, games, small group talks, Eucharistic Adoration, awesome talks, the opportunity to receive confession, and the Sacraments. Some of the inspirational talks were given by Bishop Benzer, Archbishop Schnurr, Courtney Brown, and Father Endres. Not only did teens get plenty of opportunities to meet peers, but they also were able to encounter Jesus in the sacraments. The whole purpose of the retreat is to give teens the opportunity to grow in their relationship to Christ. Senior, Maria Carroll, was lucky enough to be able to participate in Credo. Carroll says, “My favorite part of Credo was Adoration. It gave me a chance to slow down my hectic life and praise God for all he has done in my life! I grew closer to God and even made some new friends. I would highly recommend this to every Catholic teen, no matter where their relationship with God is at.”
Credo is held once a year in October at Moeller High School.
