Capture the Cool
By Monica Lepper
Today, Seton submitted their entry into the contest, Capture the Cool. This is a contest for Catholic High Schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. For the contest, each school made a video to show all of the cool and exciting things going on in their schools. All of the videos had to be original and student based. The length of the videos had to be a minute or less; Seton offers so many great and wonderful things that it was hard to capture them all, but senior Alyssa Lyons did a fantastic job creating this video and highlighting all of the key aspects of Seton. The main focuses of Seton’s Capture the Cool video include faith, leadership, academics and school spirit. All videos were due by October 31, 2013. Lyons, a member of Seton’s journalism staff said, “It would be really exciting if we win and our video would be get put on local 12, the hope is to send Seton out in a positive public way to express what makes Seton the coolest school in the archdiocese of Cincinnati.” The Seton Connection staff contributed pictures and videos to this video to show all of the important and fun things going on at Seton this year and what makes us ‘cool.’
Voting begins November 8 at five o’clock and will run through November 17 at 11:59 p.m. It will be done through the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati YouTube channel. Seton wants to show we are still the most spirited school in the nation and winning this contest would be a huge contributor to show that.
