Saints for Life Holds First Candle Lit Rosary
By Jessica Wuebbolt
On Thursday, October 24 the Saints for Life club held a candle lit rosary in the PIT football field after Open House. A candle lit rosary is the same as a regular rosary, expect it is held during the night with everyone participating holding a candle. For only being the first ever Saints for Life candle lit rosary it was a success. Senior Lexi Nelter planned this event so girls could get a major activity in for the March for Life, held every January. The rosary was led by the Saints for Life board. Even with the cold weather, over forty girls were present at this event. Club organizer Susan Nussman says, “Praying the rosary as a large group in the month of life and the month of the rosary was an amazing blessing! Prayer is a central element of the pro-life movement and praying the rosary as a pro-life group just puts our club and cause in the hands of God.” Afterwards, the girls warmed up with hot chocolate at Price Hill Chili. A huge thank you goes out to Lexi Neltner for finding a way to reserve the PIT, making arrangements, and organizing the entire candle lit rosary.
