Seton’s Evening of Distinction

On Wednesday, January 22, Seton staff department chairs, family, and friends gathered to welcome the class of 2018 scholarships recipients. The students were awarded academic scholarships, as well as scholarships in faith, leadership, service, and spirit.
Students who earned an academic scholarship had to score 90% or above on the HSPT and also had to receive recommendations from their grade school. In addition, they and had to write essay. Congratulations to Katelyn Barnes, Madelynne Nutter, Erica Schloemer and Kathleen Erpenbeck from St. Dominic, Julia Gavin, Kristen Stacklin, and Patricia McHale from Our Lady of Victory, Grace Hertzfeld from St. Ignatious, Carly Perrmann from St. Antoninous , Maria Striebich from Our Lady of the Visitation, and Lillian Witte from St. William. All received this prestigious honor.
Caroline Berning from St. Dominic, along with Elizabeth Groh, and Emily Mohs from Victory received the faith scholarship, Renee Niederhausen from Victory and Elizabeth Schoenfeld from St. William received the leadership scholarship, Elizabeth Eisenmann from Delhi Middle, Carlie Jackson from Our Lady of the Visitation, and Natalie Tiernan from St. Jude received the service scholarship, and Paige Dean and Rylee Jung from St. Als on the Ohio, Carly Hawk from St. Antoninous, Emma Ochs and Abigail Tettenhorst from St. Dominic, and Virginia Sabers from St. Ignatious received the spirit scholarship. In order to qualify for these awards, students had to submit an essay, receive teacher recommendations, and have an exceptional grade school performance.
Congratulations to all and we are very proud and excited to welcome these 25 girls of the class of 2018 into the Seton Sisterhood!
