On Thursday, February 6 Bowling held their senior night at Western Bowl against GGCL rival, Oak Hills. The saints battled hard till the end, but sadly the team fell to a loss. The ending score was Oak Hills 2365 and Saints 2299. High Bowlers of the night were seniors Molly Brauch and Jessica Gilmore with a 363 series. Senior Sami Pragar followed closely behind with a 329 series and senior Lexi Neltner respectively earned a 133 series. Both Brauch and Gilmore held the highest score for the team throughout the games with a total of 726 points. Senior Lexi Neltner says, “I’m so glad I stuck with it for all four years. I have learned so much from my coaches, my teammates and also how far I can push myself.”
Seton Bowling honored their four seniors on their senior night. Molly Brauch, Jessica Gilmore, Lexi Neltner, and Sami Pragar are all four year bowlers. All the non-seniors made a rap tuned to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song with a paragraph individualized for each of the seniors. Coach Robb also called up the seniors and gave a farewell speech to all of them and handed out flowers. The celebration ended with cake and the seniors getting jackets with their own individual signatures on the back. Neltner comments, “Senior night caused so many emotions to surface and while I am happy to move on to another chapter in my life, I will miss my team. They are the best group of girls that I could have ever asked for and it will be really hard to leave them behind. “
Bowling has officially come to a close for Seton. Congratulations on a successful year! When asked about the upcomingseasons, Neltner said, “My hope is that the underclassmen totally kill it next year and that my fellow seniors enjoy all the new and exciting experiences ahead. “
The season will wrap up with a match against Seton Faculty on Thursday, February 13 at 3:30 p.m. at Western Bowl.
