We Love You Mrs. Hollenbach!
By Rachel Richter
Students find Mrs. Hollenbach to be one of the most down-to-earth, creative, compassionate, and genuine people you will ever meet. She inspires students both inside and out of the classroom, making Seton a better place every day. Seton High School is more loving, united, and cutting-edge because of Mrs. Hollenbach!
Students find one of Mrs. Hollenbach’s greatest qualities to be her down-to-earth nature. It is easy for students to communicate with her because she is so relatable and understanding. She can relate to each and every student and I don’t think it’s possible for anybody to dislike her! Mrs. Hollenbach is one of those people who can get along with anyone. As a result, students love her as both a person and a teacher.
Because of her likeable nature, Mrs. Hollenbach has been able to form close bonds with many of her students. I know multiple students, including myself, who consider her to be a close confidant, mentor, and role model. Students often go to her for advice on a variety of subject matters, and she never fails to listen with an open heart. She always gives her complete and unwavering attention to those in her presence. Whether students need assistance with school work, advice on different aspects of life, or just someone to talk to, Mrs. Hollenbach is the one who students turn to and confide in.
She appreciates hard work, and commends those who have demonstrated outstanding effort. If a student has done well in her class, she will let them know. She makes each and every student feel like they are special. Rather than tearing students down, she builds them up! Students appreciate her acknowledgement of hard work.
Another one of her greatest qualities is her genuine compassion. Mrs. Hollenbach is sweet and kind to everybody she meets. She emits an aura of loving warmth on a daily basis, making her classes very relaxing and peaceful. Her genuine kindness to others is something that is truly admirable, and she sets a wonderful example for her students. Additionally, Mrs. Hollenbach’s involvement with Seton Helping Saints demonstrates her love for Seton High School. She is the moderator for this club which focuses on assisting members of the Seton community. Everything that she does is rooted in love and compassion.
Something that students really appreciate about Mrs. Hollenbach is how she gives quality constructive criticism. She has helped so many students on so many essays that it is surprising she doesn’t explode from reading that much! It is even more admirable that nobody has ever heard her complain. The fact of the matter is that Mrs. Hollenbach truly loves what she does, and this is evident in the quality of her teaching.
Mrs. Hollenbach has had a particularly large impact on my life. She was nice enough to write me a letter of recommendation that was more than I could have ever asked for! Even though she had hundreds of papers to read, she took the time to write me a letter of recommendation amidst one of the busiest times of the school year. No words can express how thankful I am for her. Her kind words meant so much to me, and I will never forget the things she said in that letter. She made me feel so good about myself, saying some of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me! There is no way I can possibly thank her for all she has done for me. She has impacted my life in countless ways, and my life has changed for the better because of her. I know she has had a similar impact on many students at Seton High School, and for that she should be recognized.
The students at Seton adore Mrs. Hollenbach:
