Seton has definitely been a crazy four years. Through going to a new school, meeting new people and having different teachers, it has been a rollercoaster. I was a part of the Freshman Basketball team and the lacrosse team for two years. I strongly recommend trying out for a sport team or a club for at least a year or two, I met some of my best friends through my Freshman Basketball team and we are still friends today! I will not lie it is time consuming, but it is so worth it! A second part of advice is to study as hard as possible starting as early as one can, be involved in the community and other activities because when it comes time to apply to colleges, they are looking for applicants with a lot of depth.
My favorite things from each year include: freshman year, playing basketball and meeting some of my closest friends; sophomore year, playing my second year of lacrosse and loving it; junior year, going to prom for the first time; and senior year, experiencing kairos. Kairos for me was an eye opening experience completely changing my outlook on life. Take a second to know each other before judging!
One thing that will be weird next year when I am at Ohio University, is going to school with guys and having to actually think about what I look like when going to class. It has been four years without going to school with them! It will for sure be a completely different atmosphere, but I cannot wait for everything it has to offer. Seton is a place where I feel safe and at home, and now it’s almost time to stop out of that comfort zone into something new.
I would just like to thank all of my teachers for preparing me for college and providing me with an excellent education. I feel so ready for college through everyone’s help. Another word of advice I would use is when students have questions about college, don’t hesitate talking to the counselors. The counselors helped me get through this year! Seton has had its ups and downs, but I know that my time here is almost over and I am ready to start the next chapter in my life.
