Four Years Too Fast
By Taylor Morano
I guess it’s true when everyone tells you your high school years fly by. I remember like it was yesterday walking into school my first day of freshman year. I have never been so scared in my life. I had no idea where any of my classes were, who any of my teachers were, being afraid of the upperclassmen and just wishing I was back in grade school with all of my friends again. I didn’t like change. Little did I know that my time spent at Seton would be the best four years of my life.
It definitely wasn’t always easy though. It was nothing like grade school. There was the stress of countless hours of homework and studying. This, on top of being involved in sports and clubs, the pressure to do well in every class, and the stress of finding newfriends.. Safe to say it was very stressful at times, but it got easier and it was all worth it in the end.
Throughout these four years, I met my best friends. These are the girls that are by my side no matter what I do,he people that I spend every day with at school and every second of the weekend with, The ones who I fight with and make up with two seconds later. It’s like we have known each other our whole life. It’s hard to believe that after this summer most of us will be going our separate ways and going months without seeing each other. It is all becoming so real now that college is just around the corner. These are the people that I can tell anything to and be myself around. No matter what we are doing we are always laughing and having fun. Now that it’s all coming to an end, I would do anything to go back and relive all the memories we have made together, the ones that we will talk about the rest of our lives.
My advice for any freshman, sophomore, or junior at Seton is to really enjoy every second you have here. Just like you, I once said, “ I can’t wait to grow up and leave here.” But the day it comes, you will realize that you are going to miss it. Get involved in sports or whatever interest you. Try not stress out too much. Find your best friends that you can do anything with and still have a good time. These four years truly will be the best times of your life if you let it. You are only in high school once and you should live it to the fullest. Don’t be afraid to try anything new and be yourself.
