Lacrosse Beginning in Tournament Play
By Molly Kraisinger
Seton Lacrosse played at their home field, West High, against CHCA on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. This was their first tournament game. Seton, who had a big cheering section filled with parents and students had a great start in the game and the offense had possession most of the game, making defense have an uneventful game. At halftime Seton was in the lead 12-1. With such a far lead, each player got to play in the game. Almost all of the offensive players earned a goal. Senior player, Kelly Gallagher, said Seton’s coach was really impressed with the amount of assists made in the game. The big lead allowed team members to work on their skills and relax on the field. It was a great practice game to prepare the team for their next tournament game. The final score was 16-2.
Mercy lost to Seven Hills on Tuesday as well. Seton will play Seven Hills in the next round. Seton has played Seven Hills before this year, beating them by one with a good portion of Seton’s team missing. Kelly Gallagher, senior player on the team said, “I am confident with our full team there, and our even better developed skills, that we will be able to pull out a win once again.” Seton plays against Seven Hills at West High on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. If Lacrosse wins, they will take a charter bus up to Columbus on Tuesday. Good luck to the Saints and their road to State.
