It’s not hard to guess at what will be the big trends for this fall. Colors will be toned down, cozy fabric will be on every runway and at the latest football games.
Let’s start with the basics: ankle booties and riding boots are a Seton girl’s staple. This season, chunky heel boots that extend past the ankle bone goes FABULOUS with jeans, leggings, and even some skirts and dresses.
Senior Alice Magatoe says when wearing boots, “Have your socks peek out of the top a little, SUPER CUTE”
Pants and leggings are always going to be everyone’s go to style, jeans are great as well! We suggest a darker wash jean if wearing a lighter top and a lighter wash jean with darker tops. Tops such as sweaters, flannels, and loose clothing go well with jeans. Senior Jess Hayhow’s tip is to always “Dress in layers”.
For the Girls
Janie Reiter says: “Keep a vest in the back of your car in case you get cold.
- Erica Bock “Try vintage because everything comes back.”
- Cassie Quitter- “Wear neutrals.”
- Suzie Glatt “Dress for the weather.”
For the Men:
- Tom Kellerman- “Wear comfortable clothing that is warm. I really like to wear flannels, jeans, and some work boots.”
- Flannels are great for men and women
Jeans and leather together or separate are great for the fall for a more edgy look. Senior Erica Bock loves it, she advises to “wear some combat boots, jeans and an old band t-shirt with a leather jacket. Plus if you add a beany to your look you don’t have to do your hair!” For a more girly and preppy look, try pearls, layering sweaters and a shirt with riding boots. Another great style is to use a thicker harder fabric skirt on the bottom with a loose plain shirt. Senior Alice Magatoe’s go-to style is, “Collared shirts with a sweater layering over and a pearl necklace.”
When it comes to fashion all that matters is what makes your comfortable and you feel confident in. You can always dare to be different and in the words of Emily Berning, “You are beautiful just the way you are!”
