Our Favorite Christmas Movies

Our Favorite Christmas Movies

By Gabby Reiff

One of the best ways to celebrate the Christmas season is to snuggle up to a warm fire with your footie pajamas on, sipping delicious hot chocolate while watching your favorite Christmas movies. These movies not only make us love Christmas more, but they bring families and friends closer together. They bring tears to our eyes, make us burst out with laughter, and can remind us of the meaning of Christmas. Buddy the Elf reminds us, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to here.” Below are my personal top ten Christmas movies. These are all must see movies during the holiday season:

1. Elf

2. Polar Express

3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

4. The Santa Clause

5. Home Alone

6. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

7. Miracle on 34th Street

8. It’s a Wonderful Life

9. A Christmas Story

10. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Do you agree? I wanted to find out what your favorite Christmas movies are too, so I asked around school. When interviewing Freshman Brooke Pohlman her top three are; Elf, Polar Express, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Sophomore Bella Mazza states hers are, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Rudolph. Erin Gardner, a junior, says hers are; Elf, Polar Express, and Love Actually. Lastly interviewing Sarah Becker, a senior, her top three are Christmas Story, Santa Claues, and Miracle on 34th Street. Elf is clearly a favorite here at Seton, but there are a lot of other Christmas classics that are a must see. Hopefully you find this list helpful and check out some of these great movies this holiday season.
